Liturgy

The parish uses a variety of liturgy, including the modern language of the Book of Alternative Services and the sixteenth century language of the Book of Common Prayer. Morning Prayer and Holy Eucharist alternate weekly in three churches, (St. Mark’s, St. Stephen’s, and St. Thomas’) with many special liturgies throughout the year. Parish worship occurs at least four times a year when all congregations come together to celebrate the Eucharist on the 5th Sunday of the month at 11:00 a.m., alternating among the churches.  Beginning May, 2023, St. Mark’s services will be held at 11:00 a.m., with St. Stephen’s and St. Thomas’ alternating monthly between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (i.e. St. Thomas’ 9:00 a.m. in May; St. Stephen’s 11:00 in May).

St. Elizabeth’s Church, Springfield, is open from Easter Sunday through to Thanksgiving Sunday, as well as on Christmas Day. Though a small congregation, this group enjoys worshipping together twice a month and welcomes visitors at all times. For 2023, worship is the 2nd & 4th Sunday of the month at 7 pm.
