THE ANGLICAN PARISHES OF NEW LONDON AND SPRINGFIELD

The parishes of New London and Springfield are geographically close to one another. Major economic and family relationships draw their support and connectiveness from the Kensington area. It was, therefore, quite logical that these parishes should be combined in some 'political' union. This was accomplished by the formation of a Pastoral Unit. While maintaining their individual status, the Parishes were able to combine their resources to lend each other additional strength.

The Parish of Springfield is co-located with St. Elizabeth's Church, and the Parish and Church councils are one and the same.

The Parish of New London is an umbrella grouping of the three churches of the Parish; St. Stephen's, Irishtown; St. Thomas', Spring Brook; and St. Mark's, Kensington.

In 2001 the parishes published an up-to-date history of the Parishes, combining a previous publication with many updates. For more information, or to order a copy for yourself, please contact us through our parish history page.
