St. Elizabeth's Anglican Church in Springfield was erected in 1848 by Thomas Haslam and his seven sons. In 1849, the Rt. Rev. John Medley, Bishop of Fredericton dedicated the church to the Glory of God and in loving memory of Elizabeth Haslam, wife of Thomas.
St. Elizabeth's retains the original hewn timbers and has been renovated several times, the most notable is the adaptation by William Critchlow Harris.
St. Elizabeth's is located on Highway 2, approximately 40 km west of Charlottetown, or 20 km east of Summerside.
Service times alternate monthly between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM beginning in January at 11:00 AM
St. Elizabeth's celebrates our heritage in using the Book of Common Prayer.
